6:15 AM Park gates open - ENTER at the VIA VERDE Entrance ONLY (120 Via Verde, San Dimas)
6:30 AM Packet Pick Up opens at Picnic Valley, right next to the finish line
6:30 AM Transition opens. You must show your bib for entry. No entry will be allowed without your bib or before 6:30AM
7:30 AM Course talk at the swim start - learn about any last minute changes and the course set up
8:00 AM First Wave
Waves will run every 5 minutes or when lifeguards are re-positioned.
DU-athletes - you will begin at the RUN OUT location in the 3rd wave. This is located in the lower parking lot area between the beach and transition.
2024 LA TRIATHLON #1 - WAVE START Information will be emailed to you this week including your specific WAVE, BIB and SWIM CAP color information.
PARKING - There is a fee for parking, $15.00. Please have cash out and on hand, ready to hand to the attendant. After that, parking is first come first serve. Once in the lot you may not be able to leave until the triathlon is complete depending upon the flow of athletes.
PACKET PICKUP - In order to expedite the check in process and receive your race packet, please follow these steps:
• Know your BIB #
• Have your PHOTO ID ready.
• If you are a USAT Member, please have your membership card available.
• If you need to purchase a USAT 1 day license, we will have kiosks available to complete this purchase. A single day license is $15 - NO CASH
• READ all incoming participant emails. The next email you will receive "Packet Pickup & Race Day Information" is scheduled for Thursday, April 4th, and will contain your BIB #. If you do not see an email with your BIB assignment, please check your spam folder.
HYDRATION - We will have plenty of water at the start of the race in the transition area; as well as run out, and on both the 5K and 10K courses. We will provide water at the finish line.
PARK ENTRANCE/EXIT NOTICE - Entrance to the Park will only be available at the Via Verde Entrance, and you will EXIT the park at Fairplex Drive.
USAT RULES - Please obey all USAT Rules and be courteous. We welcome several newer triathletes so let's all cooperate and have a great time, and get back to the transition and finish line safely. Announce when you are passing and watch for cars and pedestrians; this is a public park!
